Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants for the North Jersey Opportunity Trust Fund are 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations, individual businesses or business partnerships, educational entities, economic development organizations, workforce intermediaries, community-based organizations, public sector entities, faith based and other organizations with a history of executing positive workforce initiatives.

The applicant must serve as the fiscal agent of the project funds and must play a leadership role in executing the project. The applicant will be subject to governance principles established for management of the overall WIRED initiative which include governing principles that establishes authority, define roles and responsibilities and set protocols; contracts that establish terms and conditions for all grantees; and policies that guide day to day activities for WIRED activities. Additionally, all RFP recipients must have the ability to comply with all federal and state required standard assurances and certifications.

Timeline

Applications will be accepted throughout the North Jersey WIRED contract period on a rolling application basis as long as funds are available in the Opportunity Trust Fund.

How to Apply

Step 1: Applicants will send one complete electronic proposal to the North Jersey Partners WIRED Program Officer at the Newark Alliance. Specific guidelines and formats for the proposal are included in the Request For Proposal. Proposals should be completed in Times New Roman font size 12.

Step 2: Proposals will be reviewed by the North Jersey Partners Review Team.

Step 3: Recommended proposals from the Review Team will be reviewed and approved or rejected by the North Jersey Partners Steering and Executive Committees.

Step 4: The WIRED Program Officer will notify all applicants of the decisions related to the North Jersey Partners' WIRED Opportunity Trust Fund.
