North Jersey Partners is building an identity for our eight-county region as we work together to develop our future workforce with the support of the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) grant. Developing an awareness of North Jersey Partners will help us in building relationships with business, nonprofit organizations, higher education, state agencies, Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs), One Stop Career Centers, foundations, and job seekers.
In support of this effort, the North Jersey Partners Executive and Steering Teams have approved our logo and tagline. In turn, we have developed the following guidelines for use. We understand that there may be cases when not every situation is specifically covered by these guidelines. In such cases, we trust you will use your judgment or email us at northjerseypartners@newark-alliance.org for assistance.
Please note that when using the North Jersey Partners' logo, you are required to include the WIRED logo to appropriately acknowledge the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (DOLETA) as the funding source. The WIRED logo should be used in the footer of all documents.
The guidelines that should be followed when using the North Jersey Partners' logo are:
Color of Logo
The colors of the North Jersey Partners' logo were carefully and deliberately selected to convey our message.
Therefore, our logo can only be used in the green and blue version or in black and white. Both are provided in this
document as well as are available on our Web site at
www.northjerseypartners.org.
Size of Logo
The North Jersey Partners' logo has a tagline included so if you make it too small, it loses its affect.
Therefore, the logo should not be used smaller than
1 1/4" in length (when scaled properly the height should be around 3/4").
Printed Materials - U.S. DOL and North Jersey Partners
U.S. DOL requires North Jersey Partners to acknowledge it as a source of funding in all printed materials
that are paid for with WIRED dollars. The following language should be modified to fit your particular situation:
This " event, brochure, etc." has been funded in "whole" or in "part" by funds from the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.
You should also add the WIRED and ETA logos.
North Jersey Partners' grantees and partners should include the logo on printed materials including, newsletters, brochures, announcements, invitations, posters, etc. The North Jersey Partners' logo should also be used on digital media including newsletters, photos, film, and DVD/video.
Audio communications (radio, podcasts, etc.) should credit North Jersey Partners verbally and include the printed logo on any background materials used to support the audio broadcast.
Press/News Releases
Press and news releases are covered under a separate document because there are specific guidelines that need to
be followed. Please refer to the North Jersey Partners WIRED Initiative Press Release Guidelines.
Educational Materials
Grantees and partners should credit U.S. DOLETA and North Jersey Partners in educational materials, including
brochures, pamphlets, fliers, postcards, etc., when used or distributed by any WIRED-funded program, project or event.
Web Sites
We encourage our grantees and partners to use the North Jersey Partners' logo on their Web sites as appropriate.
Grantees and partners are welcome to link to the North Jersey Partners Web site. If a link is established, please inform
us by emailing
northjerseypartners@newark-alliance.org.
Broadcast Appearances, Interviews, and Public Service Announcements (PSAs)
Grantees, partners, and stakeholders should verbally acknowledge their support and participation in the North
Jersey Partners' WIRED initiative in radio and television appearances and/or interviews.
Events, Meetings and Community Activities
Grantees, partners and stakeholders should display the North Jersey Partners' logo in all venues hosting
WIRED related and/or funded activities.
